Built on Expertise.
Driven by Craft.
Building Sciences LLC brings together architectural design and construction execution under one roof – serving homeowners across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and DC who expect both quality and accountability.
Our Story
Why We Work This Way
Building Sciences LLC was founded on a simple observation:
Most home renovation projects fail not because of bad materials or poor craftsmanship – but because the architect and the contractor were never truly aligned.
We built our firm around eliminating that gap entirely. By combining architectural design and construction execution under one team, we give Northern Virginia homeowners something rare – a single point of accountability from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.
Every project we take on is personally overseen from design through to delivery. That’s not a marketing promise. It’s how we’re structured.
The People Behind the Work
Meet Our Team
Ghazi Hussain
President, Building Sciences LLC
Ghazi brings the business leadership and licensing credentials that allow Building Sciences to operate across Virginia, Maryland, and DC. With a background in construction operations, he ensures every project meets the regulatory and quality standards our clients expect.
He oversees the business side of every project – licensing, compliance, and the operational structure that keeps a design-build firm accountable from contract to closeout. That structure is what allows clients to deal with one team, rather than coordinating separately between an architect and a contractor.
An Nguyen
Director of Design & Construction
With over 25 years of industry experience, An Nguyen has worked with several prominent design and construction firms across Northern Virginia and DC, including Bower Design & Build LLC and Ballard Mensua Architecture LLC.
His background is rooted in a unique craftsmanship style and a specialized skill set focused on bringing design concepts into reality. These years of refined practice and local expertise are what shape how Building Sciences approaches every project today – from initial design through final delivery.
